Sweet Sweet Zach
March 2007 (age 4.5 months old)
I miss the puppy stage as much as I miss the baby stage of Cyler.
Maybe because it's super fast for our furkids; They are with us for such a short time you know? and rarely does it occur to one that the stage has passed until its over and done and onto the next chapter. I think it's harder with giant breeds because they get so big, so fast, you blink and the puppy breath has been replaced by a 50, 60, 70 lb monster "puppy".

Zach: Our Great Newf
Meet Zach, he is our Newfoundland with a touch of Great Pyrenees who came from a fantastic rescue in Nevada.
Enough rambling, here is our boy.
he specializes in making silly faces at Mum as she tries to take his picture:
and last here he is being simply way to adorable:
If you are looking for a dog please check with your local dog rescues and shelters.
http://petfinder.org/ is a wonderful place to help you locate the right dog for you, big or small. :)
If you have room in your hearts and your homes for a fantastic family dog then please do not hesitate to contact me so I can put you in touch with Jenn who runs the rescue he came from. While I cannot guarentee you will be approved for adoption (yes, there are requirements) it would be worth the try. If you are truly interested please keep in mind this is a Giant Breed.
He is a little over a year and a half, stands around 29" tall at the shoulder and as of April, weighs 110 lbs. He drools, he farts, he snores, he sheds, and it takes me approximately 45 minutes to do a full undercoat brushing on around 30% of his body during the summer.

He is a SAINT with our cheeky toddler who is 3 years old. Watching them play is like having two bulls in a china shop, yet when they finally tucker out and my little boy then uses "his" Zach as his pillow. It's worth it all the hard work of having him as a key member of our growing family.
He's the perfect combo of lazy dog and playing dog.
